Can I use my own sink with my new quartzite countertops?

Can I use quartzite for an outdoor kitchen or bar?

Quartzite can be used for outdoor kitchens or bars due to its UV resistance and ability to withstand elements better than some other natural stones. However, it is still important to consider sealing and maintenance to protect the stone in outdoor settings.

Can quartzite countertops be damaged after installation?

Quartzite countertops are very durable, but like any natural stone, they can be damaged by severe impact, improper use, or exposure to harsh chemicals. Regular maintenance and care will keep them in pristine condition for years.

Can quartzite countertops crack?

While quartzite is extremely durable and resistant to cracking, any stone countertop can crack if subjected to severe impact. Taking care to avoid dropping heavy objects on the surface can minimize this risk.

Do I have to be home during the installation process?

We do ask that an adult over the age of 18 be at home during the installation in case we have any questions.

Do I need to seal my quartzite countertops?

Yes, it is recommended to seal quartzite countertops to protect them from stains and ensure their longevity. Although quartzite is less porous than other natural stones, sealing helps preserve its beauty and makes it even easier to clean.

Do quartzite countertops stain?

Quartzite is less porous than other natural stones, making it more resistant to staining. However, it is still recommended to seal quartzite countertops to enhance their stain resistance, especially against oil-based spills.

Do you have financing options available for quartzite countertop projects?

Yes. We work with a local bank that offers easy home improvement financing for things like quartzite countertops. If you are interested, we can connect you with our dedicated representative at the bank who will work with you.

Do you provide a warranty for your quartzite countertops?

We guarantee our work to be completed at a professional level by trained experts. Like every other stone countertop fabricator, we cannot warranty the stone itself since it is a natural product.

Do you provide quartzite backsplash?

Yes. We can provide a standard 4” or 5” quartzite backsplash or we can provide a full backsplash that goes all the way from the countertop to the bottom of the upper cabinets.

Do you remove my existing countertops?

Yes. Our quote includes removal and disposal of your old laminate, solid surface, quartzite, or granite countertops. If you have ceramic tile countertops there is an additional charge to remove and dispose of those.

How do I choose the right quartzite color or pattern for my home?

Choosing the right quartzite color or pattern involves considering your home’s overall design and color scheme. Since quartzite comes in a wide range of natural hues and patterns, select a slab that complements or contrasts beautifully with your cabinetry, flooring, and wall colors. Choosing your slabs in person is highly recommended to appreciate the full beauty and variation of each piece.

How do I maintain and clean my quartzite countertops?

Maintain quartzite countertops by cleaning them with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners that can damage the stone. Wipe up spills promptly to prevent staining, and reseal the countertops as recommended to maintain their resistance to stains and moisture.

How does Carolina Granite cut their quartzite countertops?

Carolina Granite utilizes modern technology to ensure your quartzite countertops are created perfectly. Our fabrication shop is also environmentally friendly as our machines are designed to “wet” cut and polish quartzite, which produces a better cut and less dust.

How long do quartzite countertops last?

With proper care and maintenance, quartzite countertops can last a lifetime. Quartzite’s durability ensures it can withstand the rigors of daily use without losing its aesthetic appeal.

How long will I be without a kitchen/bathroom while my quartzite countertops are being installed?

Why should I choose quartzite over other stones for my countertops?

Its distinct veining and color range provide a look that is reminiscent of marble but with the practical benefits of granite, making it an excellent choice for those seeking elegance without compromising on functionality.

Will my quartzite countertops have pits on the surface?

Quartzite, being a natural stone, may have minor pits or fissures on its surface. These characteristics are part of the stone’s natural beauty and do not compromise its durability or functionality.

Will my quartzite countertops have seams?

Yes, like all stone countertops, quartzite countertops may have seams, especially in larger installations. However, our experienced fabricators can place seams strategically and match the veining to make them as inconspicuous as possible.
